Update

well, The Festival has begun. Me and Nicky are now living over the other side of town. It's over here still only a short ride to work. You can check out a short tour of our place here all is well, its cosy and lovely.

Mum has come and gone, she had about a month in UK, a few days up here in the Forrest Rd house, then a bit of a jaunt around england, I met her down there to scatter Johnbol's (her dad, my grandad) ashes. It was a nice little trip, it does feel strange that in the less than two years I've been here I have scattered both of my grandfathers ashes.

Any ways, I've been getting into Critical Mass, it's a great fun last friday of the month bike ride. It's a sorta protest fun ride, me and my friend Spanish Al are doing a website for it now aswell http://www.EdinburghCriticalMass.com

Mongol Rally Update

Here's an update on the Mongol Rally 2007 sign up and some very important news about the final chance to grab a team place.
Please read this email carefully if you would like to apply for one of the remaining 50 places.
The servers have done a sterling job after the initial burnout, and this is the current situation:

Wednesday's sign up: Server meltdown, no places taken
Friday's sign up: 100 places were taken in 22 seconds
Monday's sign up: 50 places were taken in 8 seconds.

So we've released 150 places and they were snapped up in a matter of seconds, completely outstripping our expectations... by a long way.

We expected the sign up to have been slightly quieter on Monday, having already released 100 places, but demand was still impressively
high. After the first two sign ups, it's clear that because so many people are after a place the system, although technically working on a
first come first served basis, does make it frustrating for those with a slower internet connection. The large number of people has turned it
into a bit of a lottery for some.

and the result??

Hi Guys,

The demand for the last 50 places was amazingly high. Overall this
year, demand has totally outstripped the 200 available.

I'm sorry to have to send you such a rubbish email, but unfortunately
the team you submitted to the ballot at iwantaplace@mongolrally.com has
not been assigned one of the remaining 50 places.

The last batch of places were randomly selected and the 200 slots have
now been filled.

so, shit thats it, no rally, no Mongolia, its all a bit shit really.

In other photo news, thanks to Demian one of my Boxwars photos is gonna be published in frOnt Magazine, (a Brit men's mag along the theme of FHM), Demian has also looking to write a story of the catacombs of Paris, cool underground ones, and wants me to go shoot photos with him. Should be very cool, we hear back soon, and will do the story in April.

WooHoo!
